12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Virtual Meeting

When a once-in-a-lifetime pandemic hits, how do you cut through the clutter to speak to the heart of your audience? This question, along with insightful tips and lessons for any PR professional presented with a crisis, will be answered during the May 13 Akron PRSA webinar.

You'll meet three local PR pros who are laser-focused in support of health workers and counselors doing the important jobs of caring for communities, patients and loved ones during the pandemic. Hear their stories of how they deliver clear, transparent and moment-to-moment external communications in the face of fear and uncertainty. Their ever-evolving lessons learned from this past year during the COVID-19 pandemic are applicable to every PR person no matter the sector. Panelists include:

    • Joe Milicia, Director of Public Relations and Communications, Cleveland Clinic Akron General
    • Christy Peters, Regional Communications Specialist, American Red Cross Northern Ohio
    • Amy Woodland, Manager of Community Relations, County of Summit Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services Board (a.k.a. Summit County ADM Board)
